I am still going to replace these control arm links at some point, but reinstalling the stock FSB and bushings fixed the noise, at least for now.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think these bushings have gone bad. They are very easy to move back and forth and the car clunks in the front at low speeds.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Also anyone sell reinforced brackets? One is already bent from ginormous swaybar.

POST 3Original post

its clunky over bumps? how old are your sway bar links?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not just bumps; it was any sort of suspension movement, i.e. just starting to accelerate forwards or backwards, when you would just hit the brakes even if it was just a bit. I initially thought droplinks as well, but the droplinks are newish Tarrett links. Nothing really to go bad as they are spherical bearings! It was something in the swaybar. I am still going to replace these control arm links at some point, but reinstalling the stock FSB and bushings fixed the noise, at least for now.

POST 5Original post

How did you determine that the bush is worn? The cover looks in excellent condition. If there isn't significant freeplay, they might not be source of noise. Lower control arm bush might be your bigger culprit. The one right below the front hub/suspension tower.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When moved by hand it has a certain clunkiness to it. I'm not convinced that it is; that's why I was posting up to see if it had happened to others.
