Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...1&aff=national Hopefully that link worked; let me know if it doesn't. I am a little dubious about the carfax report. It was a "fleet" vehicle for several months. What does that mean? The car looks good, great option list, but seems to good to be true at that price. What are your opinions?

POST 2Original post

I would have gone after that one but I wanted a black interior. The 30K service being done and new tires adds $2k roughly to the $44.5 I'm paying for the Targa I'm picking up tomorrow. Definitely one to explore further.

POST 5Original post

Just kidding, but it looks like a good vehicle. Don't let the 'fleet' thing worry you. The one I bought was a fleet which means that it was leased by a company to be used be a CEO. That usually translates into: bearly driven by some 50+ year-old fart that never had the car over 55mph and rolled gingerly over speed bumps so as not to aggravate his prostate. These cars are normally returned in the same state they were delivered.

POST 6Original post

Hey, wait a minute!!!! I resemble that remark!

POST 7Original post

Me too. it's hell to get old, but it doesn't slow my car down

POST 8Original post

OK, you can have the Porsche, just watch your prostates....

POST 9Original post

I would steer clear of fleet vehicles. They are rarely maintained and issues are usually not sorted out. Since it's out of warranty, you can expect some good money to fix it up. $47k isn't a great steal either. You'll always have a car that has a fleet history. Who knows, maybe it was a high end rental.

POST 10Original post

Yikes, that 50 year old / CEO thing ... get that from the teenagers at home already ('cept when they want in my wallet). But honest , when no one is looking, I know it's crazy, but I do sneak the car up to 56 mph every once in a while when I'm feeling wild and 18 again.

POST 11Original post

You do that too? I love living in the "fast lane!"
