A Porsche racing mechanic I spoke with in the states confirmed that this problem was a no brainer to fix, they change trannies everyday all day at the track as they wearout.

The only bad news is that after 911 the customs agents gotta check anything in crates the size of a missle.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The infomus C4S tranny problem. Has been narrowed to the following. According to Porchse AG they think that the tranny problem at worst is limited to C4S delivered in June to the states. The gear pins or levers did not harden properly (Tempered).

Porsche AG has confirmed that they understand the issue and have shipped 4 trannies yesterday, 2 tranies today with more to follow. The only bad news is that after 911 the customs agents gotta check anything in crates the size of a missle. So the trannies may get delayed in customs for a few days. Anyway Porsche AG has been great and PCNA just needs to get organized. Still a great car, still a great company. This chat site got me motivated and provided some good ideas and insight. So thanks to all.
Lucas,
didnt a UK C4S owner have the problem too? One off failure perhaps?
My C4S is a month old and though I have put 2000 miles on it the clutch pedal has disapeared on me a few times and hidden itself on the floor while in gear. It's going to the dealer on Monday for a few days for an investigation.

How did you get ahold of PAG??
Tell them to call me
Thanks for the time you put into this. My swapped tranny is going in as we speak, plan to re-pick her up today.
First, got PAG's number from customer service in the states. The number is 0-11-49-[phone removed]. Remember they are 7 hrs. ahead of us, so get started early. Secondly, speaking german helps.
Urbanski, the swaped tranny you got is that the C4 cab. tranny or one of the ones that where supposed to get ship? Just trying to keep trak of the quality of info porsche is feeding us.
Which goes to the other point that I believe that although PAG thinks its just the June U.S. porsches I believe that there where problems in Europe as well, which seems to be confirmed by the other comments.
My guess is that as porsche ramped up production there tranny supplier couldn't keep pace. While I want to believe them this sight provides other info that makes you wonder. At the least, PAG needs to understand that the only valuable info is accurate info so we can make good desicions, which will make everyone happy in the long run.
So urbanski let us know which tranny your running and how it goes.

1. Yes, the tranny going in today was harvested from a "regular" C4 Cab.
2. I will
Newmann, the number at PCNA is [phone removed]. What that gets ya I do not now. Remember, the will only deal with the dealers direct, which is why I went ape **** and found PAG's number.
My tranny also from a C4 cab. Drove from Vancouver to Seattle yesterday...to be sure, and what a blast. Drove perfectly without any problems. Put about 350 miles on.
One thing though, anybody else feel short on power? It is a heavier car and I have been in an edgy 930. T
Thoughts?
