Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I found them to be very good, they are a large dealer and seem to do business with customers all over the Tri-State area (who must have other dealers they can use).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

As the options are unbundled for 2003 I am still not sure whether is was worth paying extra for the Bose system as I can order the litronics separately.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Finally ordered my C4S for September production: Seal Gray/Black Litronics Bose Heated seats Steering wheel with leather airbag cover Aluminium/carbon shifter and handbrake Thanks to all contributors for the advice on this forum that helped with my decision, especially Palting and ohsixx. Now I start the long wait!

POST 2Original post

Congratulations! September production....what delivery date are you anticipating?

POST 3Original post

consider getting auto dim mirror/wiper sensor option also. inexpensive but very useful. congrats--this is a great car!

POST 4Original post

Congrats! We now have a serious group of C4S waiters. Maybe we should name ourselves the "proscheless bunch" or something.

POST 5Original post

Get the lumbar supports, and the auto dimmer mirrors like ignacio said. Also, consider the embroidered Porsche crest in the seatbacks. I wish I ordered that with mine. //edit. Get the supple leather, too. Only $395, worth it. The seats look better and are slightly softer than normal.

POST 6Original post

i like the supple leather, too. the lumbar support is less necessary for me because the basic seat is so good. i refuse to pay extra for a porsche crest on the headrest. to me this should be a standard feature on such an expensive car. porsche seems to be shameless in this regard.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think the supple leather looks good but I think the perforated leather looks more sporty and I think it will age better as I hope to keep this car for a long time. As the options are unbundled for 2003 I am still not sure whether is was worth paying extra for the Bose system as I can order the litronics separately. What do you think of the Bose stereo vs. the HiFi system?

POST 8Original post

Since the car changes a little bit each each there is always the chance some items that were previously options will become standard equipment.

POST 9Original post

i love the bose system! it is even nice at 100mph with the sunroof open and the windows down! some say it has too much bass response-to me there is no such thing as too much bass! i adise you listen to the system at highway speed with the windows and sunroof open--that should allow you to make a decision whether it's for you!

POST 10Original post

hey sawmill why do you think perforated leather will wear better? i always thought the opposite--after all it's like thousands of little rips in the leather!

POST 11Original post

Congrats Sawmill! Nice to have another "waiter" to join the ranks. Not too much longer for me though! I'll find out what boat I'm on shortly!

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ignacio, re: the supple leather I dont really know for sure. I had a 90 C2 for 3 years with the gray perforated leather and it looked like new until I sold it, but on my 98 BMW with something closer to Porsche supple leather the finish is harder to maintain. I could be way off - it was more of a hunch.

POST 13Original post

I have supple leatehr in my current car and it is great, looks are fine after 3 years. BUT, I believe you need at least 'leather seats' if not full leather to get the supple, but I could be wrong. In my 'waiter' car I ordered the sport seats, but have plans to put in the GT3 seats

POST 14Original post

sawmilldriver, Congratulations on your order. Which dealer did you order your car with and how did you find them to be? By the way, do you drive the Saw Mill Parkway? Steve '97 993tt

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Steve, The car was ordered at New Country Porsche in Greenwich. I found them to be very good, they are a large dealer and seem to do business with customers all over the Tri-State area (who must have other dealers they can use). My username does refer to the Saw Mill Parkway, I used to drive it often escaping NYC.
