Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. I think EDMUNDS is a better gauge for use car price.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I would appreciate any advice from this audience on what you think is the fair price for a 2000 C2 coupe, Arctic silver, black interior, only substantial option is 18" sport wheels. Assume very good condition. Only 7K miles, original in service date was September 2000. I have a friend (not a rennlist member) who is looking at this car at a dealer who is asking $62k, and we both think this is too high, question is what is the right price to bid?
Thanks in advance.
It is too high. I've found KBB always overstates car values and is at most an upper bound.
Check eBay. 2000's C2's are listing from 58 - 63K (high end with lots of built in dealer profit). You should be able to get a good '00 at around 59K. Anymore than that and tell the dealer he'll have to throw in a free shine and laundry as well.
Regards.
You could buy a '02 stripped for $66,000 or less at the right dealer....It is a tough market, I would offer $55,000 and see what happens...with check in hand of course...

If this is true, there is your answer
I sent you an email but I agree show an offer and if they dont like then MOVE ON! Plenty of cars to buy. I think EDMUNDS is a better gauge for use car price. Also, most dealers wont give anyone anything extra for low miles but would gladly deducted from high miles.
$55 seems a little light...but, hey! it never hurts to try. Just be careful that you don't come off as an insincere buyer with a low-ball bid, especially given that the dealer quoted you.
Regards.
Go to edmunds.com , enter the car under their used "TMV" True Market Value for his zip code. Spec it out and it gives you trade-in, private party and dealer asking price !
