Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I do notice this on the last 2 DE events I went but never made a big deal about it because the funny thing is it would leak a half-dollar size oil stain on garage floor the next day and that's about it-doesn't leak again. What do you think causes this and should I be concerned? I always check oil level but havent's notice any loss of oil. Regards. Mike

POST 3Original post

Check between the Tranny case and engine. If its wet, the main seal has to be replaced. My 99 leaked and was fixed by the dealer. A lot of early 99's had this problem, something about the case casting?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tom-did it leak everyday or just stopped? It just leaked half dollar size stain the next day and no more afterwards?

POST 5Original post

After I got my C4 on the road after the winter, the first few times I drove it, it leaked a small amount of oil. I was going to take it into the dealer, but in the last few weeks, the leak has disappeared. I have no idea why, but maybe your leak will disappear also. Good luck.
