Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

ion? how long did tour last? btw, i've signed up for the porsche austrian experience -- a full day at the track with factory instructors and a variety of new models together with 2 nights at a tyrolean resort. has anyone here done this? i cant wait for august 16 to get here! <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />

POST 2Original post

I did it in 1996 with the Belgian Porsche Club. It started with a dinner with the press dept. The next day we had a 2 hour or so factory visit. We saw everything but the paint shop. This was followed by 1 hour in the museum, lunch in what they call the casino (mess hall) and then 3 hours of driving any of Porsche current line-up. I drove two cars in 1996: Boxster and 993C4s both of which I really enjoyed (I did not like the 986 at first but then bought one anyway...) If you have a day to spare, it's probably a good thing to do. Is it Seefeld that you are going to? If yes, it's a place that should be real nice for 2 days. JM

POST 3Original post

Almost unbelievably, I once lived in Stuttgart and only a few KM's from the Porsche Factory. I never went near the place. I was in love with MB's during those days.

POST 4Original post

I went there recently, and I highly recommend it. My tour lasted two hours in the factory, and then I was about 45 minutes in the Porsche museum. It sure is worth a 100 mile detour. You will probably never be so close again, and will always regret it if you don't... You had better sign up on time though...

POST 5Original post

Been there twice, 2001 and 1999 and will be there again in 2003. Worth the visit every time. Two hours plus 45 min. museum/shopping time.

POST 6Original post

Forgot to mention TechArt is not far from the factory.

POST 7Original post

My wife and I will be in Europe late September and intend to visit Porsche. DO you need to book ahead or can you just show up. Does it get crowded. Any recommendations for good hotels close by?
