Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Suggestion

Power gains- unless you plan to use a piggy back ecu to optimize the exhuast or other mods then you may lose power.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I notice a dip in trq when my Fabspeeds were installed but knowing I will Unichip it anyway so it's all good now.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have an opinion/experience with this system? The price is right ($995) but is it a good system (No resonance and "booming" sound) and does it add power? Thanks

POST 2Original post

If you are talking about just the Fabspeed Mufflers I have had about as much experience as most. Had one on my 90C2Cab, 94 Speedster, 98 993 CS and currently on my 02C4Cab. They are lightweight, easy to install and the sound is not offensive. If you go to www.fabspeed.com they have a link to the sound difference between stock and Fabspeed. Very good people to work with. (I'm not related or associated with them in any way, just a very satisfied customer)

POST 3Original post

What? 320 hp isn't enough? I read that Porsche equips the '02 996 with a very efficient exhaust system. Is that not the case, or do you just want more noise?

POST 4Original post

The '02 sport exhaust sounds great(like air-cooled) but benefits with aftermarket-lighter weight and cheaper. Love the Fabspeed sound especially on the track. Not too loud but loud enough. Get's better with age on the fabspeed's. Power gains- unless you plan to use a piggy back ecu to optimize the exhuast or other mods then you may lose power. I notice a dip in trq when my Fabspeeds were installed but knowing I will Unichip it anyway so it's all good now. Regards. Mike
