0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Ruf's philosophy since the very beginning has been to use the narrow bodied cars for his projects (starting with the famous "yellow bird" ctr) since they have less drag and therefore a higher top speed.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Ben, I don't know the answer, but that's a sweet sequence of pictures. Regards.

POST 3Original post

i think it looks like a wide body ruf. i'm sure glad i dont have to try and deal with that chin spoiler on a daily basis. frankly, i prefer my c4s as a daily driver but i suppose this would be a fun track car if money were no object.

POST 4Original post

Ben, It is a narrow bodied 996 shell . There is an article about this car ( it was a yellow car) in Excellence magazine a few months ago. It is considered to be the next Yellow bird, the famous narrow bodied Ruf Turbo that did 211mph. This car will do more than that. The article was great. Regards, Sonny

POST 5Original post

Right. It is a narrow body. Ruf's philosophy since the very beginning has been to use the narrow bodied cars for his projects (starting with the famous "yellow bird" ctr) since they have less drag and therefore a higher top speed. He was the first to go in this direction, during a time when people were fascinated with the 930 turbo body and were asking for that body on NA cars, he did just the opposite!

POST 6Original post

You can tell it is the narrow body version by the air intakes on top of the rear fenders instead of in front of the rear fenders.

POST 7Original post

It's a narrow-body. On the pic you don't see the rockers flare out like you would on a C4S..they go straight back.
