Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

a '99 C4 with 39k miles, 6spd, aero kit, navigation, clean carfax, essentially flawless from a reputable dealer for $52k. is there something i'm missing? seems to be way less than the what i can find in the bay area.

POST 2Original post

Nope, Sad but true the first generation of 996 isnt trading that well. Also, the car does have some miles on it but if checked out then no biggie. But, I would not pay the offer instead work something for less.

POST 3Original post

Get the car inspected by a reputable Porsche mechanic. Better safe than sorry. Loren (99 996)

POST 4Original post

wow - Wish I were buying my '99 c4 now. Have the car inspected and if there are no problems - take it. I love my C4 - stickered for mid 80s in '99 and can be had for low '50s today! - ouch -good thing I plan to hold onto it. My hope (expectation) is that depreciation will slow down and stablize of the next several years. The car is truly amazing - exceeded only by the performance of the new '02 911 (particularly the C4s) - but the latter will run you in the '90s, nicely equipped.
