Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm considering the Fister D muffler mod, which everyone here seems to love. My concern is sound limits at Laguna Seca, which depending on the event, can be as low as 92dB or even 90dB. For the uninitiated, this is because a number of d-bags with more money than sense built McMansions next to a world-famous racetrack, and somehow convinced the county they should be allowed to dictate noise levels there. But I digress. I already have a Fabspeed X-Pipe Sport Cat (200 cell) and a Fabspeed cold air intake -- without a dB meter, it's pretty clear these mods have made my '03 C4S louder than stock. But I've never been black-flagged at Laguna, even on a 90dB day. I'd really hate to do the Fister mod and then find out I can't make it past the mics at Laguna w/o lifting. That'd be a giant step backwards. Anyone have any actual data on these mods? Anyone combine the Fister mod with sport cats and/or cold air intake? Locals, feel free also to just rant about Laguna's sound limits too ... you'll still be on topic! And ... Merry Christmas!

With stock cats and the PSE, you pass sound. With sport cats and PSE, it may be a toss up. Get your intake to stock. Aside from not doing anything, sometimes it's e intake that causes more sound. They have gotten a lot stricter there
