Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
Even though I suspect the cost would be high I checked with one place that does law enforcement vehicles but they wouldn't even talk to me.
Leading evidence: 'cost would be high i checked' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'cost would be high i checked' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check with one place' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

If anybody has a dash cam, and would recommend a brand, please speak up...thanks!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
Rennlist: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Face it, we are driving a vehicle with red flags flying all over it. In fact, as I had posted before, I was involved in a shaky "13 over" speeding ticket that I paid because I just couldn't fight it.
In Russia many motorists install dash cams to combat insurance scams.
Should we be doing this? If anybody has a dash cam, and would recommend a brand, please speak up...thanks!
GoPro Hero 3.
However, you can't just point out the camera to the cop in the hopes he won't write you up.
You still have to fight the ticket which means a court appearance.
As an aside, the preponderance of dash cams in Russia has produced all kinds of remarkable footage:

Unfortuately, it looks like the car in front braked perfectly to get smashed by a nose wheel.
I too have wondered about a dashcam. I have a pre-Hero3; it does not recycle/overwrite footage.
Sorry but I do not recall. I bought one and set it up and used it -- "taped" to my head walking around the office -- and have been so busy I set it aside. In fact it is laying under the printer next to my chair as I type.
Visit the GoPro web site and read up. The unit is a nice unit, well made.
There are other camera options. I thought about having front and rear pencil cameras mounted and feeding into a digital recorder something like I imagine law enforcement uses. Even though I suspect the cost would be high I checked with one place that does law enforcement vehicles but they wouldn't even talk to me.
Since then bought the GoPro but as metioned have been too busy.
Oh, I forgot years ago I bought a big (6"?) suction cup camera mount which can hold a larger camcorder (I have a Sony something or other) but the setup is very bulky, large and takes up too much space and is quite visible from outside the car. My fear is that if I leave this in the car someone would smash glass to get it.
problem is that go pro is not getting power from the car so you will need to charge the thing all the time... might be some power supply solution out there. if it is not always plugged and ready I bet you will not have it on when you needed it the most.
I was just talking about this the other day. I am shocked they are not something that are not part of a GPS that just records a 15min loop and is stopped 5 min after a 3-4g impact from any direction.
I have seen replacment rear view morrors with this idea.
Your dashcam could end up being evidence against you, so be careful.
I'd spend the money on a radar detector instead, drive carefully on the street, and get your grins on the race track.

I have no personal experience with this item. However, a friend sent this to me. (There was an incident with a Lexus F that was parked and got hit.) The cam captured everything. Hence we heard about this cam.
I think with this one, people don't really notice it since it's mounted near your rear view mirror.
