Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The CDR 210 came right out, but the CDR220 seems to big to slip back in the slot left open by the 210. Do I need a new sleeve that the radio slides in as well? I was thinking that this was a direct plug and play. Can anyone give me instructions? Thanks, Pat

POST 2Original post

It is tough to get back in. Make sure you have it centered left to right, up and down and the plug is pushed as far back as possible. It takes a little force to push the stereo back in. I had the same problem when I replaced my stereo.

POST 3Original post

you need to remove the frame for the CDR220 to fit...search on the 993 forum as a lot of guys have done the CDR210 to CDR220 swap so the issues are pretty well documented.

POST 4Original post

I didn't have to remove the frame when I did the same swap on my 996. Like I said, it takes a little force and needs to be lined up perfectly. I'm sure it is different on a 993.
