Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Looking at a C4S w/over 50k on it, and I am several states away. Can anyone recommend a good shop for a PPI, and if someone is bored, want to do a rennfax to help out?

He may know the car already.
Also, I will not give another dime to the local P-dealer. They even told me one time that Porsche does not allow them to do PPI's. No S.
If I can help in any way, let me know. I am in south Tulsa.

Is that the same as Rennsport? I just bought a 2002 C2 and was also looking for a shop in Tulsa. I do almost all my own work but I'd still like to have a knowledgeable 911 guru check everything out
Rennsport and Tom Charlesworth are two different entities.
I've not done any business with Rennsport but I would guess that they could do a good PPI. Might be easier to get a car in there than Charlsworth's as Rennsport is a larger shop but I would call both places to see.
A friend of mine is getting the windows tinted on his 968 and the tint place sent him to Rennsport to get the rear wiper assy removed. He had no issues, cost was agreeable.
Google them both and go visit them both, then go with who you are more comfortable with. Probably not much difference in the long run. However if you want a Porsche "guru" then I think Tom would be your guy.

Rennsport is very solid, although I think their strength is in air cooled models. You may check on Pelican for Javadog and Kiwiokie, both from Tulsa. Very strong group of PCA racers/members that meet every saturday for breakfast and several of them are on Pelican. They should have some good recommendations. I'm in Dallas now but can vouch for the work Rennsport did when I lived in Tulsa.
I've used both. Tom's speciality is 944/928/968 cars. Brian at Rennsport is 911's aircooled. Both probably work on 996's, I'm sure.
Both are recommendable in my opinion.
