Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

For instance I think I heard the C4 uses the same uprights as the GT3/GT2.

But this should mean even the 4S/Turbo uses these?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I've got a 4S and I love it! I've also got a 944 Turbo that is turning into a track car. I've seen some people install the 996 multilink rear suspension and also a very few converting to the 996 front suspension. Can someone please do a write up what the differences in front and rear suspension/multilinks/uprights and so on between the different 996 models from C2 to GT3/2 cars? Thanks! /Peter

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Also which brakes fit on which uprights and which got bigger/stronger wheel bearings? For instance I think I heard the C4 uses the same uprights as the GT3/GT2. But this should mean even the 4S/Turbo uses these? Also is the 996 C2 front and rear identical to the Boxster? Which sways fits on which? Bottom line, the GT3/GT2 or even cup suspension would be the best to find, but this is really hard and expensive. So which else is closest to this? Thanks
