This is not a probability of success.

I think I'm going with a 966, if I can find an affordable 3.6, probably a 2002, I'll go for that.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm new to Rennlist - what a great place to research my Porsche purchase. OK, so just like a recent poster, I've always wanted a Porsche (had a wimpy Alfa Romeo Spider in my late teens - but now ready to step up to a real sports car). Somehow I've convinced my wife that buying a Porsche will be a good investment and of course my 7 and 9 year old girls are all for it - considering those "roomy" back seats where they'll be riding. So WTF, I'm ready for my mid life crisis car. I think I'm going with a 966, if I can find an affordable 3.6, probably a 2002, I'll go for that. Might do a 3.4. Anyway, I've done a ton of research, thanks to all the info on this site! One open item is service in my area, I'm in Hoboken NJ. Anyone out there know a great shop near me for both a PPI when I find what I'm looking for, and also for ongoing service? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Another vote for ZSA - top notch service. Very impressive shop. I live in Jersey City and it's only a half hour drive, so it's definitely your closest option as well.
