Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...1&d=1353960462 Snapped a phone pic of my last 911 recently. Sold it in 98' after 4 years of ownership with only 38k miles at the time.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Last week Ed, bought it in 1994 with 21k miles on it. Owned it for 4 years, very reliable. Great Porsche, Borla exhaust, lowered to Euro specs, with stiffer suspension.

POST 4Original post

Very nice. Should have held on to it - they're going up in value and nice ones are getting harder to find.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guy I sold it to recently sold it for $34k, guess it became an investment for my buyer who bought it from me for $18,250. I try to not regret selling stuff, but it was a very nice SC.

POST 6Original post

What color is that? Looks fantastic. I stopped at a neighbors house recently as there was an 81 parked in the drive. Someone was actually working on it, but not my neighbor. Says he comes when my neighbor isn't home and uses his tools. Anyway, great looking car.

POST 7Original post

Great looking car! I'm sure it was hard to let it go...

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Petrol blue was the color.

POST 9Original post

yes, early nice low mile cars are starting to gain ground on the market - prices are up I sometime toy with the idea of selling but worry I would regret it - mine is a really well sorted high miler (near 200k) so not going up in value but surely easy to sell if I put it back to all stock - the interior in mine is minty (all removed so I can drive it) the trouble is you most likely would not pay $30+ for it and it will keep going up and you would say,...dang, I could have bought that for $3XK only X years ago!!! anyhow - hind sight beautiful car

POST 10Original post

I can see why you miss it Steve. Really sharp SC in the Petrol blue. That must be a relatively rare color. The empty 6 pack looks good in the shot to. -Randy

POST 11Original post

Never been a fan of tan interior, but that car is wicked!

POST 12Original post

Steve that car is a be-ute. I know how you feel....here are my old '86 and '67 and long gone. Just shoot me.

POST 13Original post

Of the three air cooled 911's I had, the one I would like to have back the most is the '67 coupe. But I wish I could have a whole stable of my old cars.

POST 14Original post

Very nice! memories... They were my favorite cars back then. Acutally Porsches have been my favorite since the '60s. I did like the Jags though as well, especially the E Type. I sold my '80 Guards Red SC Targa in '85 so my wife could buy a new Corvrtte. She did, kept it for years, hardly drove it, sold it and bought a '99 Boxster which she still has.

I wish I still had the interior shots of my old SC. It worked so well with the exterior color.

The pic was at the new barn being built by the buyer of my old Porsche. The empty 6 pack was his as well.

POST 17Original post

oh man - Pete now that you are a seasoned track guy...those two cars would be SOOOO much fun !! regrets - none ok, maybe a few

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Those were nice rides Pete, but we can't go back.

POST 19Original post

Sweet, love the Petrol blue I have never been able to part with my 86, going into my 18th year of ownership.

POST 20Original post

Quotes source post: 10027832

No kidding, as that included a '65 Austin Healy Mk III, a '67 275 GTS Ferrari and a '69 991S Europspec.

That color would change colors depending on the light. 18 years is a long relationship to have with a car. I owned my first car for 28 years, a 1960 Bug-Eye Sprite...but sold it to buy the Porsche SC as shown.
