Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

does anyone know if a 99 and 2000 interior parts are the same as long as they are the same colors and style, I want to replace a piece inside and found a 99 that may be the same in color, but can not determine if they interchange between the years?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

Agreed, no difference in model years on the interior, shouldn't have an issue at all.

does anyone know if a 99 and 2000 interior parts are the same as long as they are the same colors and style, I want to replace a piece inside and found a 99 that may be the same in color, but can not determine if they interchange between the years? also found a couple other items off a 99 thanks tom

POST 3Original post

Agreed, no difference in model years on the interior, shouldn't have an issue at all.

POST 4Original post

Fit-wise the parts are interchangeable. But as far as color MY99 only had Granite Grey for plastic parts and MY2000 had two different blacks as well as 4 or so new plastic colors.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks all, btw does anyone know if you have to have any special tools to remove the seats front and rear? i do not have a manual yet, but will get one coming, but headed to look at one tomorrow for parts they said bring tools, not sure what all i may need thank you

POST 6Original post

The trim in '99 models was the pebble/basketball finish unless it was leather. In 2000 they went to the soft paint look. So depending on what piece you are t looking for it does make a difference.

thanks, I need a wood grain piece for the console, and I thought they had the rear seats (which ours is leather), i need to replace on of the rear bottom seats in it 9delaer is paying for that) , but I hate for them not to match perfectly so I was going to get them all., but he sent me a message saying someone had got the rear bottoms already, if it was the same plush leather interior as ours I was hoping it had heated front seats too, I would had just bought the whole interior the wood piece I need is the one that has the window switches in it

POST 8Original post

Torx sockets (not bits) are required to remove the front seat rails from the floor, not sure about rear seats though.

POST 9Original post

The rear seats are held in with velcro and plastic tabs. Use a small jimmy bar and pry up slowly and it will pop right off.

thanks, guy emailed me yesterday and said rear bottoms were gone, so i did not go look at any of it

POST 11Original post

Take a look on eBay. Search Porsche 996 seat and there are lots of rear seats in just about every color, style and finish.

A quality 10mm socket works fine.
