Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Was curious if there are any known problems with: (1). SAI (Secondary Air injection) ports? They are an issue on the 993s as the injection ports would get pluged up and cause a check engine light to come on. The check engine light came on in my 996 recently and it was caused by SAI. Was wondering if anyone else had this issue. (2). Vapor lock issue - I noticed that whenever if I drove the car hard on a hot day, after couple of hours it would take double amount of time to crank the engine in order to start. I am guess it is related to vapor lock, anyone else have the same experiences? TIA

POST 2Original post

Im no help but I have had the 2nd issue happen on many occasion on my 964 and the 996, especially on hot summer days.
