Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I've only spoken with three people who have test driven the 991, but each of them shared that it was amazing (and each was a 911 or Cayman owner).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Okay, I'll bite. ;-) I must admit, when I first saw the redesigned Boxster, I said to myself, "Self, I gotta get me one of those 2012's sometime around 2015-2016." I have only had two Porsches (a Boxster S and a recently acquired 996); the visual improvements on the Boxster really transform the car. And from the reviews I've read, most have said it's hard to justify the premium for a 911.
Then about a month ago, a new 991 parked next to me. The car left me with a very different impression "in the flesh" than the photos I had seen. I really like what they've done with car. It was truly stunning.
While I consider the nuances of COTY-type reviews, those judges are able to push cars way harder then I ever will because (a) they're better drivers and (b) the are paid to test the cars well beyond what most daily drivers will ever do. Let's face it, cars have gotten so good that many of us wouldn't even tap into the full potential of a Ford Focus. I only mention this because I don't think in day-to-day driving, most of us will notice some of the steering feedback comments I've read on the 911 (991). I've only spoken with three people who have test driven the 991, but each of them shared that it was amazing (and each was a 911 or Cayman owner). I'm afraid to drive it because I suspect I'll want one and then not want to wait a few years (like I should).
The best news for me is in a few years, I'll simply wait for the right buy (right price, right color combination and low mileage) in
either
model. After all, I looked for two years before pulling the trigger on the right for me 996.
As a side story, I did my graduate b-school summer internship with Ford. As a perk, we got to test drive some of their cars at the test track at summer end. They also had a handful of test drivers come out and give us a hot lap in a production car. Lyn St. James drove me and three others in a stock Ford Montero SE and I just about wet my pants. While cornering at 85+ mph, she turned around to have a conversation with me. I've never been so frightened in my life. Most of us think we can really drive. That convinced me I cannot. ;-)

I thought this was interesting...
A tiny minority of our number (engineers) regard the Porsche 911 as a textbook case of pig-headed Germans clinging stubbornly to an aerodynamically impractical body profile (“A beautiful execution of a stupid shape,” as guest judge Theodore put it) and an engine placement consigned to the trash heap for good reason by every other automaker decades ago.
