I've read all the previous posts, checked other sites such as Renntech, etc but have yet to find any photos of nice, clean, installation locations in the 996.

I routinely run my '99 C2 on the track and have started to tire of the fluctuating oil pressure problems related to the combination of sticky tires (Hoosiers), race suspension (all GT3 goodies + Motons), and long sweeping corners.

Gentlemen, I routinely run my '99 C2 on the track and have started to tire of the fluctuating oil pressure problems related to the combination of sticky tires (Hoosiers), race suspension (all GT3 goodies + Motons), and long sweeping corners. I already have a X51 baffled sump but it's inadequate. So, I plan to install an Accusump with the LN oil filter adapter in the next few weeks. I've read all the previous posts, checked other sites such as Renntech, etc but have yet to find any photos of nice, clean, installation locations in the 996. Can someone help by posting a pic of their installation? Thanks. JR

I'm interested in the various installation possibilities as well. While I'm not as fast as JR, I'm looking to safeguard the long term health of the motor by installing an Accusump in a year or so. I was thinking on the back shelf--not pretty, but need to retain use of the back seats. I've also heard that on a C2 it's possible to install it in the center tunnel underneath. I imagine that would be a very tight fit though.

Ubermensch, Thanks for the link but after looking at the picture it appears that's a rear trunk boxster installation not a 996. I really like the center tunnel idea so if anyone can post a pic of that setup it would be appreciated!
