Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

on my 993 targa, we did the opposite: prevented the spoiler from raising at any speed (i installed the C2S split grill)

10% it is if member "shark attack" produces information to let us know whether there are screws to raise/adjust the spoiler

if so, yes, we would like to test opening it - at standstill
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hi guys, i wish to learn please if there is a way that we can part this wing and make it open, then let it stay open on the 996 turbo
on my 993 targa, we did the opposite: prevented the spoiler from raising at any speed (i installed the C2S split grill)
the car is a 2004 model, and i just made a request for carbon fibre interior parts if anyone has them
thanks
haha i know where you're coming from, this is not my car
my cousin bought it and would actually prefer if he installed the factory's original
i think he is nuts but we wish to learn if there is a way to do it
i copy pasted this into the 996tt forum
THANKS
If I read you correctly, which to be honest I am not sure of by any stretch, you want to cut that beautiful wing so it can open. Then you want it to stay open?
lol guys trust me i know this is counter-intuitive
but this is my cousin's car and the question has been raised:
the wing seems to be able to be split/open
correct?
does it open at a certain speed, is the most obvious of questions?
if so, yes, we would like to test opening it - at standstill
and wonder if, electrically, it can be wired to stay open
this is not an aesthetic matter, or a matter of preference
just one of curiosity, and trying everything out, learning about the car as much as possible
I think we have a language issue here. I dont think you are asking if it can open. I think you are asking if it adjusts by it self with speed like a stock retractable wing does. The answer is no, the wing is adjustable but only manually.
Huh...this is the fixed wing "aero kit" option from Porsche (and a pricey option to boot). It is not intended to be adjustable at all. You need to replace the deck lid and install an adjustable wing (manually or automatic).
thank you everyone and again i apologize for the confusion
so far i have concluded:
1. spoiler does not open up or move at any speeds
2.
a. 90% chance the spoiler is NOT adjustable whatsoever
b. 10% it is if member "shark attack" produces information to let us know whether there are screws to raise/adjust the spoiler
THANKS
