This is not a probability of success.

They assure me they are the same design, with fluid fill, not solid rubber (no way to tell, of course), and that they have never had any returned or failure reports.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Pelican has great prices on the OE replacement motor mounts, $91 each. They list both Carrera and Turbo (-08 and -09), and the manufacturer as Corteco on their web site. Most posts I'd read on them seemed positive, so I went with them, ordering the (-09), what I assumed would be the stiffer Turbo ones. I ended up getting ones with a "replacement for" regular Carrera ones (-08), made by Rein instead. I called Pelican Parts dept about them, and they assured me that Rein and Corteco are actually the exact same manufacturer, and that they only make one motor mount to the Turbo standard, but it has a "replacement for -08" sticker on the box and mount, and it is the only version that is available, and that they sell. They assure me they are the same design, with fluid fill, not solid rubber (no way to tell, of course), and that they have never had any returned or failure reports. I don't need any advice to buy RS ones, or real Porsche ones or WEVOs, I just wanted to make anyone interested aware of this, in case it sways their decision. I've decided to just go and stick with them and try them out. If they are crap, I'll just make a lot a noise and see what Pelican does...
