Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is anyone aware of any website which would read your option codes and recreate the original window sticker or show the list price of your 996 with the options you have? Just wondering what this thing cost when it was new...... Ted

POST 3Original post

I believe if you ask a Porsche dealer to key your VIN# into their system and they should be able to pull it up. -Eric

Thanks! Those are both great ideas! Ted

POST 5Original post

There is a very long thread somewhere here about options and original sticker price. It is a really great thread and provides an interesting look into the cost of these cars and the options that people added. My car had a deliver price of over $116k! Since yours is even newer than my 2000 C4 Tip Cab, I bet yours tipped the scales somewhere north of mine.

POST 6Original post

did mine at the local dealer they said my car was " nicely equiped" and gave me a base price without options 96K

POST 7Original post

The original window sticker was in the glove box when I bought the car.

POST 8Original post

Personally, I could care less. The sticker price and what I got my car used for are my benefit. 996 is a great deal. People still think it costs more than what it is worth. Pop the front hood and you can run the numbers on your options the car came with for free.....
