Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

It was pummeled by acorns in the fall and I've not yet had it fixed.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just curious how many 996 forum friends will be at Hershey this year? I plan on being there with my wife and kids. Maybe I will get a chance to meet some of you guys as well.

POST 2Original post

I will be there with my new to me 996 4S. I belong to the Chesapeake Region PCA so they try to park together but sometimes that doesn't work out all the time. I seem to always end up parking in the out skirts with the odd cars that sometimes aren't even Porsches. I am going try harder this year to get the car parked with the group.

POST 3Original post

I'm pretty sure to be there, although I'm not sure that I'll be driving the 996. It was pummeled by acorns in the fall and I've not yet had it fixed. It's a little embarrassing to show up at a Porsche event with 100 dents in the car.

POST 4Original post

What's the procedure for repairing cars that have suffered damage from acorns or hail?

POST 5Original post

Paintless Dent Removal. I got a couple of estimates, but then put the hardtop on for winter and never had the work done because the technician will have to work on the clamshell, which is now covered by the hardtop.

POST 6Original post

Probably, but it depends on the weather. I may go up with the Delaware PCA group. I'll be the guy with two kids in tow, and probably my black "speedster" hat & black Porsche shirt. Say Hi if you see me.

POST 7Original post

I will probably be there but in the Cayenne, not the 996. Since I maybe looking for some wheels to buy.
