Suggestion

If you can I suggest you do a test drive in a car with the fitment you are considering -- same as what you will have -- because occassionally you hear people complain about "droneing" noise -- there are plenty who seem very happy with Fabspeeds -- but my experience was the other way so I had my original mufflers modified and no drone and a sporty spound for a fraction of the price -- I have a pair of Fabspeeds for sale -- but in Australia.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

35 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok! Great! Now the problem is, whether Fabspeed's Oval tail pipe would fit my Narrowbody turbo style bumper nicely. Anyone knows?

Are you willing to ship it to me? I wouldn't mind buying your set if it's in good condition. Cheers

POST 11Original post

They can drone at low rpms...under 2500. Very true.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hahaha. Are u suggesting that Agency Power wont drone?

POST 13Original post

Fabspeed exhausts drone at low RPMs. I added EVO intake, Fabspeed headers and a custom flash which lowered the exhaust noise addressing the drone in exchange for more power.

POST 14Original post

Quotes source post: 8110648

That "droning" means your engine under too much load because you're lugging it. I would not operate the car at such low rpms on the highway. Fine when you're creeping around town not pushing much air and being helped along by low gears, but it's pretty unkind at higher speeds. The drone is telling you to downshift. FWIW, I've had EVOM's exhaust for four years, and I'm pretty sure it's made by Fabspeed. I don't love the sound at idle, but I've found it great otherwise. Gets attention, has a little bit of the air-cooled character (from outside the car, anyway), but very civilized on the highway.

WOAH! Out of my budget for Cans man ... Looks like its gonna be fabspeed but i have been hearing it gives loads of done. What say you?

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 8113851

+1. If I am going to pay that much for cans, it needs to be warm and accessible every night. Just saying..

POST 23Original post

If i were you and i was not getting Tubi's id do the PSE Hack insted... Nothing sounds better than Tubi's or PSE hack to me personally...

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8113937

Haha. PSE cost too much too. Nah i think i ll just stick with fabspeeds. Buy them and install. Easy.

POST 25Original post

Quotes source post: 8114094

People are modding stock mufflers cheap. FisterD in California does it for $250 with a core exchange. It sounds like 80% PSE. Best exhaust bang for the buck.

POST 26Original post

Quotes source posts: 8114094, 8114122

Yea no you dont need to buy PSE to get PSE Sound... You just need to Weld a Pipe for cheap, do a search... this is what i meant by PSE Hack... https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...tour-pics.html

POST 27Original post

I was thinking about buying these for my 996 until I read this thread and someone mentioned that they are Chinese made. True they may be but they offer a Limited Lifetime warranty against defects and failure so I would think that if something went wrong because they are Chinese made then you could simply exchange for another one...no? http://www.agency-power.com/catalog/warrantyform.php

POST 29Original post

It's an old thread but I'm chime in anyway since someone necro-bumped it. My friend has the Agency exhaust on his C4S and its so quiet you can barely hear it unless he is really ripping on it. Too quiet for my tastes.

POST 30Original post

As you said old thread... but, why not get Cargraphic Mufflers?

POST 31Original post

+1 for Fister D's. No one has ever said a bad thing, (that I know of or have seen in here) best bang for the buck, hands dow, great sound, low price. Save the rest of the money for suspension, sways, tires, pads, etc. Just my humble 02. (and thoroughly satisfied Fister customer.) Look up Fister DePietro Motorsports, ask for Darin. He is great to deal with, class act, solid work. Try u-tube for numerous vids on sound. IN you case the shipping might make it prohibitive, but it is worth a check.

POST 32Original post

I just had some Agency installed on my 996 (NA) with 44K miles. I've had it for 1.5 years and put about 20k miles on with the the OEM exhaust. It's my daily driver and I've made several trips to San Diego from Austin TX. My OEMs had a broken baffle which baffled me daily. Plus for Agency: - Price was pretty decent. - look great - they have a nice throaty sound in 1 - 5 gears and it's not too drone-y. - Somewhat easy to install, I didn't have the time though Minus for Agency: - What I loved about OEM exhaust, they sounded quiet until 45k RPM then they would let loose. - They are on all the time. - The car feels like it's not getting enough airflow now - I notice a 80% reduction in H20 at startup on the driveway (I let the 996 warm up from 7 - 10 min each startup.) I've had the Agency on for 3 weeks now and had one small trip. I'm going to try and find the OEMs new or used. Unless the fabspeeds are quiet until 45- 47K rpm, I want the original. Know anyone who wants some agency exhaust, or has good OEMs and wants to trade, PM me.

POST 33Original post

how about M&K, the youtube video I saw of that sounded amazing

POST 34Original post

I have a set of OEM 3.4 Cans that we can set you up with....

POST 35 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently sold off my fabpseed maxflo mufflers and replaced it with fabspeed's supercup mufflers which i love! Should have just gone for the muffler bypass pipes. haha. I like it loud. Stock cans are way too quiet for its on good. Cheers
