I guess they're not meant to be used while driving, not that I need them.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Who's got the best price on these? Damnit...

POST 2Original post

Yep, so as I am driving my new to me 996 home on I95 doing about 80, I notice the windshield had gotten a bit dirty. I start hitting the wiper switch different ways in order to get the windshield washed, well all of a sudden this things come flying, scared the crap out of me. I think it cost $50 or $60 for the replacement head. I removed the fuse so it won't happen again, I dont ever need to wash my lights while driving.

POST 3Original post

Found my replacement on ebay. Took a few weeks for a decent priced one to pop up. Maybe norcal recyclers has some?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, all I've seen was the nozzle and cover as a complete unit. I just need the cover and will check Suncoast. I guess they're not meant to be used while driving, not that I need them.

POST 6Original post

The nozzles should not lift them off when driving if they r installed properly. I wonder if it got knocked loose from a pothole.

POST 7Original post

Both mine recently departed simultaneously at freeway speed also. It's just another example of Porsche's ability to engineer some plastic widget that fails very deterministically for everyone at the same age!

I activated the washer by mistake doing 60.
