Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm calling it a "quick disconnect" since we're always having to remove the air filter housing to do any work.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just completed a replacement of my two idler and one tensioner pulley(s) this weekend. There's plenty of good write ups on here for that, so I won't repeat what others have said. I saw this turn-key fastener in a hardware store a few weeks back, and decided to give it a go to clamp to the throttle body. I'm calling it a "quick disconnect" since we're always having to remove the air filter housing to do any work. Truthfully it might save you 6 seconds, depending on how close-by your screwdriver is Thought it looked pretty cool when paired with your existing oil cap and dipstick. Not trying to start a trend here, but if interested it's on Amazon Ideal Tridon, Turn-Key Clamp, Model# 5Y04858 Rick

That would be great for road side repairs! it was nice meeting you today Rick. Stop by sometime and we can compare 996s and you can see the IMS replacement process. Bruce
