I have a 2002 Carrerra 2 with the HID headlights. I would like to convert to LED headlights. Is it possible to replace the bulbs in a HID setup with LED bulbs? I looked at Superbright LEDS? And thier vehicle selector lists a replacement, but does not say if is for HID or Halogen cars. What works?

If you have the factory HID, just keep it. You can replace to a better HID bulb but I can't tell you which one to get. If you have after market HID, chances are you can remove the HID bulb and the ballast and return to regular H7 bulb which means you can get the H7 LED head light bulbs. However, based on what I have tried so far HID > LED >= Halogen. HID is still much better than LED. There are so many different brand and style of LED some are good and some are bad, very hard to know what you will get.

Yea, I love my HIDs, its a LOT of light. I just replaced my 'citylight' or 'park light' bulb to LED, and got rid of the yellow. Next, I need to do the fog light and the high beam. I plan to use the light with the heat ribbon rather than the fan. I am not sure if the fan ones will fit, and the heat will be locked in the back anyway. I use the ribbon heat wire versions on my other cars and they work great.

You can "upgrade" the 35w ballasts to 55w to make more light as well...but frankly, the lights are pretty good. Not 24 hour racing good, but still quite good.
