Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T150451Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

Wow, now that I take as a compliment. And with that many contenders, the 996 has got to be special. I fear the secret is out.

Guilty as charged, Dr. Strangelove (best name). If it made you subscribe twice, there's gotta be something to it. I think I posted something in here months ago.

POST 9Original post

The closing line is exactly how I feel about mine. I find myself saying the exact same thing constantly.

POST 16Original post

My first 2001 996 (back when they were new) was Lapis Blue Metallic with Savannah Beige. Fifteen years later I have an Ocean Blue Metallic with Savannah Beige 996. I guess I like Blue/Beige . Looking at old and new photos, it's pretty difficult to tell those two shades of blue apart.

POST 18Original post

cool video. Question: is the badge on the steering wheel airbag a replacement? It looks to be sticking up in a strange way. Or maybe it's just the lighting.

POST 19Original post

Bravo, great vid! I'm a new owner, so the C4s has a bit more growing on me to do before i can call it a dead guy car like my e30, but it's certainly making all the right noises and headed in that direction!

I honestly have no idea. It kinda feels as if - by heat or age - it slid down a millimeter. But it's glued on as tight as it can.

An E30 is no easy task to live up to, but I'm sure you'll be sucked into the charms of the 996 in no time. Welcome to the cult. You may never, ever again leave..

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
