I'm going to assume (but dig a little further) that if the ROW kit needed specific drop links to account for the drop provided over the stock setup, it would either have a different set available or include them in the package.

Would there be no noticeable performance difference using the (seemingly) higher quality units from one of the above manufacturers?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Currently installing ROW M030 suspension with some RSS bits tossed in. After 115K miles, my sway bar drop links have seen better days. Looking for a recommendation on upgraded drop links. Any suggestions? https://www.elephantracing.com/porsc...ks-for-996-997 https://www.tarett.com/items/986-987...lnk-detail.htm

POST 2Original post

Not trying to dissuade you, but I dont think M030 is going to require adjustable drop links. The oem Febi Bilstein ones are very inexpensive...

Would there be no noticeable performance difference using the (seemingly) higher quality units from one of the above manufacturers?

POST 4Original post

Im not qualified to answer that. My opinion is that the drop links perform a simple role. If the stock size parts are the right length, theyre no better or worse than the others. If the suspension height preloads the anti-sway bar, then the adjustable length parts would allow you to dial out the preload, so it would be beneficial. For a track car, lowered excessively, this would almost be essential. For a street car lowered 20mm, I dont suspect it would be worthwhile. But, I dont have any real expertise here, this is just my opinion.

That makes alot of sense. I'm going to assume (but dig a little further) that if the ROW kit needed specific drop links to account for the drop provided over the stock setup, it would either have a different set available or include them in the package. Looks like I'll be buying stock replacements Thanks for the tech tip!

POST 6Original post

My 996 C2 is lowered 33mm with Techart Suspension. I used Tarret in the rear and new Porsche in the front. The rear bar was easily adjusted using the Tarret rear drop links.
