Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently purchased a 3 spoke steering wheel for my car. I wasnt looking but I got a great deal. I am sending out to be restored. My car is silver body with grey interior. I need some help coming up with a nice color scheme. The red and black wheel is the look I am going for. The black and red wont work in my car although I love the way it looks. please help me out!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Images This is my wheel This is the look I am going for.

POST 3Original post

Do you have interior photos? I would say, if you have grey interior and you like some contrast, I would go with black and grey for the steering wheel. I don't see the red/black there.

POST 4Original post

Personally I think a black wheel with gray stitching and a silver/gray 12 o'clock stripe would look nice.

POST 5Original post

I'm actually in a similar situation Arctic Silver/graphite gray interior. I'll probably stick with variations of gray since I want to reuse my airbag. Was thinking about a perforated/alcantara combo with silver/light grey stitching and 12 o'clock stripe. Are you getting the airbag recovered as well? Looking into getting a painted console and horseshoe as well to break up all the gray.

POST 6Original post

Whatever you pick, make sure the airbag is not covered or re covered. leave it stock. I see wheels pimped out with all kinds of additional or non factory air bag coverings and wonder how well they are going to perform when the bag need to deploy. Often see additional metal emblems on them that would make a nice imprint on ones forehead when the airbag pops.

POST 8Original post

This is what I currently have in my graphite grey interior. Not the black/red youre going for but another option.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I never said I was going for black/red. I like the way the black red works. If you read my post you will understand better. As far as not covering the airbag I think that’s to BS. Of course it can be recovered without any problems. Not to mention that the badge is stock. I am still hoping someone who has a good idea will come along. I appreciate the constructive input so far.
