I can sell the SSR's for extra if someone wanted them but they fit the TT so it would be nice to "Change shoes" every so often hehe

For the reason is that the car will be gone quickly, you will probably but not always get more than you expected depending on how you produce/run your auction.

You have to keep in mind that on the open market any 911 is a luxury item and people can and will be extremely picky, plus you have to jump through several hoops (ppi, dme, test drives, etc) to get top dollar.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know this is a can o worms as it is "What someone is willing to pay".
Thinking of selling my 04 C4S in Cobalt blue. Only 42k miles, IMS (FVD), RMS and clutch done. CV boots, 997 short shift, ceramic coated, new engine mounts and coolant lines, tint. So very well cared for.
Was thinking 35k would be fair considering all the bad stuff has been fixed. And Cobalt is rare.
Thoughts?
There was a very low mile one owner Cobalt C4s in LA last year that took the owners about a year to sell. They had no IMS and an accident on the carfax. They were asking I think 36 then finally lowered it to 32K and finally someone bought it.
Not sure what they ended up getting. I asked if they would consider 28K and they said no.
I don't think the price is far off at all. You have to keep in mind that on the open market any 911 is a luxury item and people can and will be extremely picky, plus you have to jump through several hoops (ppi, dme, test drives, etc) to get top dollar. I have always put cars on BAT. For the reason is that the car will be gone quickly, you will probably but not always get more than you expected depending on how you produce/run your auction.
Do not get discouraged if you just throw it up on craigslist and it doesn't sell. Many Porsches sit forever before someone buys them. Special colors and options will sell quick. So you certainly have that going for you.. Also be realistic on negotiating. People ask a lot for these cars but rarely get it. If someone had 30K in a big bag in front of my face I would strongly consider it. You will wait months maybe and go through a lot of BS for the extra 2k or so. Its completely up to you though.
Good luck!

I hear you. But in this case it has it all done. So taking a 2-5k back of book would not make sense. Good thing it is not a HAVE to sell. I love it. Heck I get more compliments on the color than on my Arena Red Turbo. It makes ya smile though. Here is a very recent picture after the Ceramic....that stuff is amazing! I can sell the SSR's for extra if someone wanted them but they fit the TT so it would be nice to "Change shoes" every so often hehe
TW, your C4S is the boss. Two years ago I recall seeing most top C4S’ going for the 32-35 range. The cobalt C4S with the twists may be the ‘definitive’ 996 Porsche (with props to Guards Red). The car makes experts and casual observers say, “Wow!”.
