Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Run ever since' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run ever since' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Cars in the shop, so a bit bored and figured Id start this silly thread. I once had an E39 BMW which I bought new when they first came out, and kept forever, racking up a ton of miles. I thought Id win all three categories, but a few Europeans and Aussies beat me with earlier build dates.
I know I wont win all three here, but here are stats on my 996, purchased new in Feb 99:
1) Ownership - 19 years, 3 months
2) Build Date -1/99
3) Mileage - 63,780
Have at it........
I think I only have a chance on mileage here - I only got the car last year. I'm at >110,600 miles in my '03 C4S.
From earlier this morning (not quite in focus)...
12-1/2 years. I put on nearly 125K miles of the 129K now on the clock of my GT3.
Salesman said, "Drive it like you stole it!"
So, I've been on the run ever since.
Only 1+ years of ownership.
92k miles
3/98 build date.
The 99 models went on sale in April 1998, so there are probably some 2/98 build dates on US model cars. I think the earliest European build dates are 10/97. There are some 1997 titled 996s in Europe, but only a couple dozen from what I have seen.
I think we have a winner with Ogr8frogy. I’m sure folks would be interested to know what you’ve done to the car in 200,000 miles. No IMS? I chickened out, more due to age, and am doing pretty much everything this week (IMS/RMS/AOS, clutch/ flywheel). But at only 64,000 miles, I’m sure I’ll whine a bit when I see that everything was A okay.
It's easy. The car makes you want to drive it every day, everywhere. We've taken some pretty long trips in it, too.
Also, no one but Porsche builds robust supercars like that. Only the cost of ownership makes this possible.
