Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello Porsche Fanatics, My passenger side door has an interesting problem. The tiny window drop that it is supposed to do when you lift the handle up only works when the car is on, it does not work when it is off. This is annoying because if a passenger tries to close the door while the car is off the window does not drop and it hits the rubber weather stripping (and the door does not properly close). I have tried to retrain the window by holding the power button up, then down for 15 seconds. I could hear the reset 'click' sound and the window goes up and down just fine. Unfortunately that did not fix it. I also opened the passenger door and tried to push down on the window to see if it would go down a bit (maybe a bad window regulator) but no dice. It does not go down with a push. So how do you fix this problem if it works fine when the car is on, but does not work right when the car is off? Maybe the alarm system is not disengaging the passenger side correctly? Thoughts?

Try the procedure in the manual to reset: Storing end position of the windows If the battery is disconnected and reconnected, the windows will not be raised automatically when the door is closed. 1. Close the windows with the rocker switch once. 2. Press front half of rocker switch again to store the end position of the windows in the control unit. Looks like you doing this but maybe in the wrong order...but then that may not fix your issue anyway. Sorry, I've got no more ideas. Good luck.
