Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I also installed the Function First shift kit that massively improves the shift action (does not shorten the throws).

And installed the modified shift detent in the transaxle to prevent the kicking-out of 2nd gear.

I bought one, but used the shift boot and horseshoe in combination with a Function First **** and shaft...

I will have to go back and check my order, but not sure I got the right LED color.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's an excellent product and arrived from Germany in less than a week. I couldn't be happier.

I don't own one, but if I were doing it I would wire it to one of the window switches.
There is a wire for the back-lighting for the window switches, and they're really close by.
I didnt think about that. I was looking at the dash.
do you recall what posts are for the illumination?
I can get the voltmeter out, but if you happen to know off hand ...
Absolutely love the feel. I originally ordered the alloy round shift **** and switched to this one. I also installed the Function First shift kit that massively improves the shift action (does not shorten the throws). And installed the modified shift detent in the transaxle to prevent the kicking-out of 2nd gear. I am thoroughly pleased with the results.
Seems like a steal compared to OEM. I would love to get an OEM one but I have a hard time ponying up $400+ for a boot and ****. Mine isn't bad enough where I wouldn't put it back on the car if I sold it but I wouldn't mind freshening up my interior a bit.
I have to say I am very pleased with the quality and look of this one.
I will have to go back and check my order, but not sure I got the right LED color. Not saying they sent the wrong one or the color is off. Just that it's more red than orange. Very possible I got the wrong color.
The quality and appearance of the OP's stated product is EXCELLENT. I bought two, they are just what I was looking for. You have a choice of three different styles I think, and LED or standard ****.
There are two set screws that hold the **** in place, pull down the boot and snap the horseshoe into place.
Another member from here sent me over to the seller in Germany and it was definitely one of my better purchases!
