Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone rolled the little lip inside the fender? I lowered my car and put 19's on and they rub when going over bumps. It only has happened in the rear. Any advise would be helpful

POST 2Original post

I rolled my a few years back and I can't remember if it was on my 88 carrera or my 93 RS America or my 95 993, it was on one of thoes cars, But what I was told and it worked, was to use a baseball bat ( wooden only), the handle end (where you put your hands), place it between the wheel and fender at either 10 oclock or 2 oclock then you need a second person to roll the car foward and then backward letting the bat handle roll up and around the top of the tire you will have to push down a little so the fender rolls under, sounds kinda half-assed but it works.

POST 3Original post

i have and it's relatively easy. i did it for the same reason you did, my car is freakin low and i have aggressive offset 19s. grab yourself a baseball bat, a heat gun and a jack. -jack the car up enough so you can just fit the bat between the wheels and arch and leave the wheel on, you'll be using it for leverage. -use the heat gun to warm up the areas you want to roll, be careful! you are reducing the risk of cracking the paint by doing this. -insert the bat between the wheel and arch and start to use the bat as a lever to bend in the inner lip up. the motion is like prying. as you are prying, twist the bat so the bat rolls against the tire. this will give you a smoother blend. -roll you fender lip a little bit at a time. you'll get smoother results and less possibility of over doing it.
