Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know what that is? The tech who pulled the code wrote down “drivers airbag circuit” and he mentioned something about the ignition switch as well. The light won’t clear so it’s obviously an active fault. I recently replaced the entire ignition switch and steering lock assembly. The light came on a few days after the repair so I’m not sure if it could be possibly related. 1999 996 if it matters. Update: the connector to the door airbag underneath the door card was loose. I reattach it, cleared the airbag light with a scanner and we were good to go.

POST 2Original post

Unfortunately, I'm of no help, but coincidentally I just posted a similar thread about my passenger door airbag. Hopefully the same solution works for both of us!
