Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
since you have both at your disposal, I would recommend running the 18" set - solely due to the lessened sidewall flex and distortion.
Leading evidence: 'Run 18"' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run 18"' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Should I use my 18" wheels with 225 & 265 tires or 17" wheels with 205 & 255 tires?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Will it make any difference for my first DE? Should I use my 18" wheels with 225 & 265 tires or 17" wheels with 205 & 255 tires? both sets are bridgestone Re760 sport. Thx!
Wider tires is more important than circumference of the wheel to put more rubber down on the track. I might guess that both sets have similar tire circumference?
It will make no difference for your first event. Use whichever tires you don't mind wearing out more
Obviously the wider tires on bigger wheels will give you more grip and less sidewall flex, but at your first event having lower grip levels and being able to feel the car slide around a little at reasonable speeds is not a bad thing; it's great learning experience. I feel like people's first track day should be in a rusty Toyota Corolla with 4 temporary spares on so you can get a feel for how to manage problems and actually reach the limits of the car at a relatively low speed. In any decent modern car, you have to drive insanely fast (or poorly) to get the car to misbehave and learn to correct it.
So true. I did my first DE in my e30 and was grouped with 4 other cars with at least triple the HP, needless to say it was a learning experience. But at the end of the day, my lines were far cleaner than those in my group because i didn't have the luxury of missing an apex and then mashing the loud pedal upon exit to make up for it.
OP, I don't pretend to know your skill level, but IMHO, the first thing to figure out (as early as possible) on your first track day is how the Friction Circle applies to your particular car. It's a principle you rarely have to consider in street driving but critical on the track. If you're not familiar, google and digest it. Or if you can stand this guy's massive need for a wardrobe update, check this vid out:

Once you have that squared, it's all about working on your lines. Have fun, it's by far my most favorite and most expensive ways to wear out parts on a car!
I entirely agree with this gentleman. However,

since you have both at your disposal, I would recommend running the 18" set - solely due to the lessened sidewall flex and distortion. While only a marginal difference for your first track day, the 18" will provide superior feedback and is easier to feel the limit of adhesion.
