Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've searched the forums, but am seeing conflicting info with regard to fitting 305/30/19's on the rear of a NB 996. I currently have 235/35/19s on the front and 305/25/19s on the rear. Seeing that the 25's are getting incredibly difficult to source I was going to go with 30's. I don't mind raising the suspension to accommodate if need be. POST 2Original post

I run 315/30's on my NB C2 on 18x12" wheels on the rear. Car is lowered to cup car height. Rear offset is ET63. No rubbing issues. Assuming the 19's are the same outside diameter you should be OK.

POST 3Original post

I run 315/25/19's in the rear no problem at all. Lowered about an inch. Tire Rack sells this size and is immediately available. I think the 295/30/19 is a better match if you are going with a 30 profile tire though. Should fit vs the 305/30 which might rub on your MK1.

Thanks. Looks like quite a bit of difference in diameter compared to what you have.

I can't believe you have no problems with the 315/25. What suspension and wheel are you running? I looked on Tire Rack and found the only offering was the Toyo Proxes T1R. Is that the tire your running? The 295 suggestion might be the best, as there are many different brands and models in that size. Though Id prefer not to lose the width.

POST 6Original post

Yup, T1R. RUF Suspension 1" Drop on factory 19x11 Carrera Classics. 315/25/19 is actually the closest match height to the factory setup. The 295/30/19 is going to be your best bet in terms of availability and a "Close" match, but it will still be a good bit taller than the factory height.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the info. I guess I'll wait and see, but am leaning towards the 295s now but its good to know those 315's exist.
