Suggestion
My car is the same color and has the same wheels, so pretty similar, but I'm going to replace the wheels.

Originally I was dead set on a 997 Carrera S, but by pure luck had the chance to test drive a 996 Anniversary Edition, I was hooked and the hunt to find one was on.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Famous last words I know. But after 7 months of ownership I finally have my 996 Anniversary Edition to the point I envisioned when I purchased the car. It's been an expensive endeavor that's been mostly modifications, maintenance, and updates by choice, not necessity. I have the car to a point that I'm satisfied with the looks and caught up on maintenance. I absolutely love this car and am ready to enjoy this spring and summer. Originally I was dead set on a 997 Carrera S, but by pure luck had the chance to test drive a 996 Anniversary Edition, I was hooked and the hunt to find one was on. Lucky to find one that fit the bill of what I wanted, which was an AE that I would be able to modify without guilt.
Thanks! Ride height has settled very nice. RUF Springs/Bilstein B8 combo. 25mm drop according to RUF, took about a week to fully settle and loving it now. Rides great too.
Awesome looking car, with tasteful exterior mods and perfect choice for suspension for a street car and occasional track.
I don't care what anyone says, IMHO the 996 is such a perfect classic 911 style. Pinky Lai's proportions are so classic, and the headlights (both versions) have so much character now. (yes, I'm biased 😉 )
Looks fantastic. Really like what you've done, oem+ done properly. And the Anniversary car seems like a fantastic spec. Would love to know more about the front lip and suspension set up. You're about 6mo ahead of me. Bought my my C4s about the same time and I'm practically done w/ all maintenance and about to get started on the accoutrements. My car is the same color and has the same wheels, so pretty similar, but I'm going to replace the wheels.
I wasn't 100% on the wing at first, but with the other mods now in place I think it goes well with everything.
Congrats on the ride. I had a C4S arctic silver a few years ago and it was a beautiful car. The anniversary editions are all GT Silver, which is a slightly different shade and only was available in 2004 on the anniversary.
Thank you. Exactly the concept I'm going for.
I LOVE the 996 headlights, with a strong lean to the 996.2 lol. Won't ever see a headlight cover attempt to cover them up on my car.
Yep GT Silver is where it's at.
Thank you!
Much appreciated.
Looks great. Would love to see a shot from the back that shows those 315's. I'm curious, what is your fender to ground clearance on the front and back?
E90Steve, said it before like a thousand times BUT the car looks awesome! The new pictures looks incredible. Great taste!
I was to wrapped up in paying attention to the wheels that I looked past the rear wing and that really is a nice looking piece,
whole car is just stunning.
