Convertible top works fine, using key operation. However, got inside the car and pushed the rocker switch, and nothing happen. No noise, just silence...
All related threads mentioned check and fill up the fluid reservoir. Filled up the reservoir (from 1/4 full) and pushed the rocker switch, and again nothing happened.
I did not realize there are two fuses to operate the top mechanism. Fuse B1 is good. Fuse B5 is burned. Replaced fuse B5.
with Engine off, push the rocker switch, convertible top works fine. Do it a couple of times, everything works (did not start the engine). Thought the problem solved.
Drove the car around, turn off the ignition and tried the rocker switch, again nothing happened. Check the B5 fuse which is burned.
Replaced the B5 fuse again, top works fine.
When I started the car and noticed B5 is burned again (B5 also controls outside mirror adjustment which is not working)
Repeat the entire process 3 more times. Same problem.
So.. Convertible top works fine using keys. Fuse B5 burned every time after replacement/start engine.
What/where do I check (for short??)

Is there a way to check that the fuse you are replacing is the correct amperage? Just maybe someone used the wrong size previously and you are replacing the same size that is blowing. I don't mean for you to up the size to a clog iron, but a slightly higher amp may do the trick without setting fire to the car. Just a thought.
replaced the mirror door switch, still the same problem. I just used the last 7.5A fuse.
The next available fuse is 10A. If that still does not work, I guess next step is to check the mirror motor for short...
I would try disconnecting both mirrors if possible and see if that's where the issue is. Is the fuse blowing after you back the car out of a space? If so, the automatic mirror tilt may be causing a short.
