Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I assumed it was off and couldnt believe how amazingly loud the car sounded with it off, couldnt wait to get it fixed and hear it on.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2003 c4s with sports exhaust. Am I right that the SE button on center console turns it off when its lite, thus SE is always on unless turned off? My ears tell me thats correct but PSM button on same console is clearly labeled as an off switch, so Im double checking. Thanks

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Never mind I found the answer on the forum.

POST 3Original post

Thats how mine is set up as well. Only notice as of late (guess Im getting older now) as I now often use that button cuz I prefer a more quieter ride.

only had mine for 2 weeks and SE button had been pushed through the console and was unreachable. I assumed it was off and couldnt believe how amazingly loud the car sounded with it off, couldnt wait to get it fixed and hear it on. Got it back from shop today, turned it on and I got serenity, lol. Even my wife said how quiet the car suddenly got. Learn something new everyday!!

MMM I have only turned mine off once or twice to check how the button works! I would miss that sweet sweet sound behind me if I turned it off!
