If I don�t open my 996 for 3-4 days, the remote no longer opens the doors or the frunk. Have to use lock in door handle. Battery is fine. Is this normal? Nothing in owner�s manual.

From the owners's manual (around page 212): If the vehicle is not started or unlocked with the remote control within five days, the remote control standby function is switched off (to prevent discharging of the vehicle battery). 1. In this case, unlock the driver's door with the key at the door lock. Leave the door closed in order to prevent the alarm system from being triggered. 2. Press button 1 on the remote control. The remote control is now activated again

Thanks for the location. I looked at the remote door and security pages on pages 20-26 and saw nothing. Need to work less and drive more and make it a non-issue
