Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi
I will do a complete caliper rebuilt this spring and I would like to change the flexible brake lines at the same time. Im now looking at the different options and have found a kit from Crown performance.
Any one tried them?
Seems to be fairly priced with the coating.
My second option is going with ATE rubber lines as they are cheap and seems to be good quality. So I would like to have your opinion on them too.
If you have better options please let me know.
I usually want to keep the car in stock form but the price difference between braided aftermarket and OE is double the price.
As for the ATE lines I heard some good things about their discs but I dont know for the rest.
I replaced mine a few days ago with stainless braided lines from one of the Porsche vendors. Don't remember which one, but they weren't terribly expensive. Around $100 for the set as I recall. I tracked my 996 yesterday at Road Atlanta. I was braking hard into turn 10A, from about 110 mph to 50 mph. My new brakes worked great! I also had new Textar pads and Meyle rotors, along with Castrol SRF fluid. No squealing, grinding, or fade.
Interresting video!
Ok I also found Technica-fit lines that are sold at FD motorsport.
Seems decent quality and I think they also come with the protective coil over the lines just like the OE.
I will try to find some reviews and let you know!
When I did brakes I replaced what I assume were the original lines. Even though they 'looked' good, they were hard as rock. I bought stainless lines from Autohaus AZ that are allegedly DOT approved but I don't remember the brand.
