Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If searched and can't find a good write up. Bentley manual has no info for the Bose option. I see tabs (4) in the carpet but can't get the rear ones off (feels like they'll break)

POST 2Original post

Id say its a very similar if not exactly the same as the 997 Bose sub removal procedure: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/997/247791-997-1-coupe-bose-sub-removal.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

1. Pull out the two "Bose" plastic port enclosures =left 2. Use a torx driver to remove the torx screw on each port =left 3. Slide the entire back panel forward =left 4. Unclip the wires to the sub woofer =left =left Be careful not to break the tabs on the plastic port enclosures Is there a trick to getting the ports out without breaking them?

POST 4Original post

Mine come off with no problem. I've done it many times, as I have to remove the sub-woofer to get to the adjustment for the rear dampers. Just pull forward gently and they should release.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, found the pic's and tech article. https://www.sharkwerks.com/tech-arti...rera-s-gt2-gt3 Thanks!

Not too sure - I guess its like with every single other plastic component - pull and pray... When its almost about to break it comes out and you look for broken tabs and if there aren't any you got lucky!

I have never had to remove the "rear seat receivers".

POST 8Original post

I have to keep mine out. The Dassport Roll Bar, mounts to strut towers and doubles as a strut brace. Makes car very rigid, but stereo doesn't sound very good.
