Or maybe because the factory won't recommend running 19's on a 996?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all will any 19" 997 wheels fit my 996 C2? thanks in advance harris

POST 2Original post

The rear wheels I think are 11. But on a C2 narrow you can run a 10.5 to 11 in the rear and a 8-9 in the front. Depends on tire size. But since it is factory your good to go. What suspension are you running. You wont have any rubbing issues if it is factory. Thanks Dan!

POST 3Original post

The current Tequipment catalog says that the 19" wheels will ONLY work on the 997 not the 996. FWIW, the specs are as follows: 8X19 ET57 11X19 ET67 Based on that, the fronts would sit like if you had a 7mm spacer up front and a 4mm spacer in rear. However, not sure about fitment since they say 997 only.

POST 4Original post

Those specs look like they would fit a 996 no problem. Lots of people put 5-7mm spacers on front and up to 15mm spacers on the rear with stock rims. So the question is why is the factory saying they won't fit? Is it because the lug pattern is different? Or maybe because the factory won't recommend running 19's on a 996? Or the overall diameter of the wheels are biggeer with the stock tires on 997 rims (what are the tires sizes that come with 997s?), brake clearance issues? Hmmmm......
