Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild and plan to use the original crimp connectors when I put that part back on.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Guys, I finally got my aos replaced (biggest pita ever.. Should have dropped the engine).. While reassembling everything I noticed that the line (I think possibly coolant but maybe it's just a vacuum line).. It's the line that is right by the alternator right mounting bolt (idler).. When I took it off i didn't notice but the plastic piece broke off.. I tried to ghetto rig something up (with some glue and hard hose to attach the two lines).. I would like to order something to fix this properly tho.. It appears the other line goes to the engine right below the alternator..
Any ideas? I'm sure this has happened to a few people before..
Thanks.. This is what I was looking for. Should be easy to do. The connection on the bottom side of this uses different connectors then the top.. It appears to be a crimp type connector.. Do I just cut this off and put a normal hose clamp on it?
I did that but didn't like the result as its very tight in there and I had to cut off the end of the clamp with wire cutters so it would not rub against the belt or any pulleys.
I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild and plan to use the original crimp connectors when I put that part back on.
I used a hose clamp on the bottom. Just be careful how you orient it so it doesn't touch the belt. You might want to attach the hose on that end first and trial fit as it gives you more room to play with the clamp orientation.
Ya I cut off the end of the plastic part that bolts to the engine.. I then sanded it down and drilled a hole and used a ty-wrap to keep the hoses away from the belt.. I picked up a different type of clamp from napa and used it.. I am sure this is just as good as an actual fix but I will order the new metal one and replace next time I'm in there (if I can get the engine to start.. See my other thread about the aos as now my engine will not start up)..
