The car also has a Porsche first gen Nav system and I thought about having this taken out and replacing the head unit, and aftermarket Nav, but then there is a chance that I may need to get a new amp, speakers, etc.

Electrical connections and the dismantling my wood interior scares me so I decided to get it done by a professional. I have an 02 C4 Cab with Bose and CD changer, but I have friends with satellite radio that swear by it (only 1 decent FM station here in the mountains). Plus with the iPod, I will have more songs than I know what to do with. I'm thinking about adding the PSE in a few months, so this may not be the smartest decision, but the audio upgrade doesn't come with the standard Porsche $ markup. I'll post pics next Friday after the install. BTW, now that I actually own a Porsche, I guess I should get to work on my Avitar and sig. The members on this forum have set high standards for this! Also, Jennifer and Rennlist confirmed my membership so I don't feel like a freeloader anymore. Best $32 I've spent.

Garner Stereo in Fletcher, NC is doing the install. I'm not sure of the cable or the mount they are using for the iPod. I saw the Sirius receiver, but I can't remember the brand or model. It is very small an unobtrusive. I'm even thinking about having them put this in the glove box to keep everything looking completely stock. Sorry, I haven't been able to answer your questions. Search my posts next Friday and I will include all the details with pictures. The car also has a Porsche first gen Nav system and I thought about having this taken out and replacing the head unit, and aftermarket Nav, but then there is a chance that I may need to get a new amp, speakers, etc. and then I am into about $4-5 grand. I don't think I need the latest/greatest Nav, as I will probably rarely use it. I just wanted Sirius and my iPod and to keep the interior looking clean and simple.
