Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Should you ever lose power and check engine light comes on, DO NOT TRY AND RESTART IT until you pull some codes and find out what's going on. The PO of my roller started his car after it was towed home and most likely added $3K to the repair bill for the 2 seconds he ran it. That's all for now, stay tuned...

what codes are considered to be non start codes?

I'm not sure there's much you can infer from codes if the engine shuts down while making funky noises. I'd say any chain of events preceding a flatbed ride is a leading indicator of a code brown.

POST 7Original post

ummm a little more detail? like lose power while you're driving at speed?

The DME should record codes if things go south very quickly, you can also read the stored codes without turning the engine over.

Does the CEL blink when serious & stay on when non-critical?
